Where to Farm Vision Mastery
Farm Cactuar-type encounters in the Lanzelt Desert early on, then move to repeatable Gigantuar encounters beyond Dragon's Maw on the southern tip of Pharm when your full-game party can handle that area. The Citrine Pot in Siren's Tower also offers a one-time mastery reward, so use it as a boost alongside your repeatable route.
Equip the Vision You Want to Train

Equip the Vision you want to train on the character who needs its mastery rewards before starting your loop. Battles award mastery to the equipped Vision separately from the experience used for character levels, and that progress is tracked per character. Rain mastering a Vision does not give everyone else the same rewards.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Choose a mastery ability you actually want to use, then check the character's available AP before committing to a long grind. Learned mastery abilities can be equipped through AP without keeping their original Vision equipped. Finishing a useful reward and putting it to work is a better starting goal than trying to master every Vision at once.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Start With Desert Encounters and the Citrine Pot
- Search the Lanzelt Desert for Cactuar-type encounters to find a practical early target for earning Vision mastery.
- Use accurate or multi-hit attacks against cactus-type enemies, giving yourself more chances to connect before an evasive target escapes.
- Prepare the exact recovery consumable requested by the Citrine Pot in Siren's Tower, avoiding an attempt to exhaust its enormous HP or stagger pools.
- Collect the Citrine Pot's one-time reward of 120 MRP to give your equipped Vision a targeted mastery boost.
Pot encounters are limited opportunities, so they work best as a targeted push toward a mastery reward. Return to repeatable encounters after collecting the Citrine Pot payout. Against cactus-type enemies, favor reliable hits over an elaborate setup that leaves the target time to flee.
Know When to Stop Farming the Demo

The demo caps characters at level 15 and Vision mastery at rank 5. Tron's Half MP Cost unlocks at MR9, so it is a full-game target rather than something you can reach by extending a demo farming session. Once a Vision reaches the demo cap on a character, switch your training goal instead of repeating fights for a reward beyond that cap.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Expert awards more MRP, but the fights are longer and riskier. Judge it by how reliably you can finish your loop, rather than by the reward from a single victory. Choose the setting that lets you keep earning mastery without frequent recoveries or failed encounters.
Use the Island's Destroyer Encounters

In Chapter 3, the lower-left part of the island offers a useful Destroyer farming route. It is a practical place to develop Squall and Firion while working toward their extra-action abilities. You can train toward those rewards here without finishing every long mastery grind before continuing the story.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

The Destroyer-and-fish encounter can award 137 MRP and 2,200 XP. Turtle encounters along the same stretch can provide 75 MRP, making them useful incidental fights during the search. Keep your focus on an equipped Vision's next reward rather than treating either result as a required amount of grinding.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Use Guaranteed Hits for the Cactus Route

In Chapter 4, search around the cactus patch at the southern end of the map for a higher-return farming option. A successful cactus kill can pay 330 MRP before the stagger-finish bonus. Make reliable hits the priority so you can secure the kill and its mastery reward.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Move to Gigantuars and Add Victoria's MRP Bonus
- Farm repeatable Gigantuar encounters beyond Dragon's Maw on the southern tip of Pharm once that area becomes practical for your party. Use this later full-game route when you want larger mastery gains across multiple characters and Visions.

Complete Victoria's side quest when it becomes available after meeting her in Mysidia, giving yourself access to a useful Vision for later mastery farming.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Keep Stagger Finishes Reliable

Aim to finish battles while the enemies are staggered, since that earns extra mastery for your equipped Visions. Slightly slower, controlled finishes can be worthwhile if they secure that bonus. If a harder encounter regularly interrupts your loop, an easier enemy group you can finish with the bonus may be the more useful farm.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
