Collect Rewards and Restore the Princess's Memories
At the Oblivion Palace, you turn in Tablet Shards to unlock treasure chests and restore the Enigmatic Princess's memories. Your reward access depends on your total shards handed in, so collecting during your travels is how you progress through the palace.
Find the Palace and Unlock Its Chests
- Visit the Oblivion Palace southeast of Grandport Harbour in the Kingdom of Grandshelt; you can first reach it during Chapter 1.
- Collect Tablet Shards throughout towns and dungeons to build the collection you can hand to the Enigmatic Princess.
- Speak to the Enigmatic Princess to turn in your Tablet Shards; your cumulative hand-in total determines which rewards become accessible.
- Open the treasure chests unlocked by your current total; the palace contains 25 shard-gated chests across four chambers, with thresholds ranging from 3 to 99 Tablet Shards.
- Return with more Tablet Shards as you continue exploring to work toward later chest rewards and the princess's returning memories.
The palace's progression follows your collectible total rather than a boss victory. Its activity combines opening shard-gated chests with recovering the princess's story. If your next reward is still out of reach, make collecting more Tablet Shards the goal of your next trip.
Important Chest and Memory Milestones
Use these milestones to choose a collection target before your next visit. The early thresholds give you rewards to pursue while you are still getting started. Later totals add named equipment, crafting material rewards, a trophy and further memories.
| Tablet Shards Turned In | Reward or Memory Milestone |
|---|---|
| 3, 6 and 9 Tablet Shards | Early treasure-chest rewards. |
| 12 Tablet Shards | Stagger Ring, which increases stagger power by 10% when equipped. |
| 28 Tablet Shards | The princess regains memories. |
| 60 Tablet Shards | Memento trophy and another memory milestone. |
| 76 Tablet Shards | Ancient Firearm reward. |
| 80 and 89 Tablet Shards | Adamantite at each of these thresholds. |
| 99 Tablet Shards | Lightbringer and the final listed memory milestone. |
Claim the Demo's Stagger Ring Reward
The demo contains 12 Tablet Shards, giving you an early collection target for the Stagger Ring. That target covers an early palace reward; the broader reward track reaches 99 shards. Treat the ring as a useful stopping point for demo cleanup, then pursue the later milestones as you continue the full adventure.

Give the Enigmatic Princess the 12 Tablet Shards from Chapter 1 to unlock the Stagger Ring, which increases stagger power by 10% when equipped.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Consider the ring for the party member you rely on to stagger enemies. Choose its wearer around the way your party already fights, rather than rebuilding everyone just to use a new reward. If you are enjoying the story, collect naturally first and save a dedicated shard search for when you want an exploration goal.
Prepare for Exploration and Return Visits
Prepare for exploration and backtracking rather than a special palace battle. Pick up shimmering Tablet Shards during normal story travel so you have fewer places to revisit later. Your shard total is the palace's progression gate, so a stronger combat build alone will not unlock the next chest.
Keep using a party you are comfortable exploring with, and maintain its usual healing and defensive options for the journey. When you return to an earlier area, make checking overlooked paths part of the visit. Work toward a reward you actually want so that collecting stays purposeful instead of interrupting every story objective.
