Where to Unlock Every Vision
Unlock Visions by progressing through Mitra, visiting regional Sanctums, completing the named side quests below, and defeating Sephiroth at Whirlpool Hollow. None is permanently missable, so you can finish your collection in free-roam after the story.
Demo and Full-Game Scope
The demo contains five Visions: Tronn, Leah, Warrior of Light, Terra and Cloud. The full-game collection contains 26, so the opening selection is only the start of this checklist. Use the early entries to check your collection, then follow the later chapter entries as you continue the adventure.
Every Vision, Role and Unlock Condition
The chapter column shows when each Vision becomes available, rather than a deadline for collecting it. Sanctum entries identify the region, while side quest entries give the quest you need to complete. For Sephiroth, reaching the location is only the approach: winning the optional encounter is the unlock condition.

Collect the Story and Regional Sanctum Visions
Finish the opening dungeon and reach the first Vision crystal in Mitra to receive Tronn and Leah. This starts your collection through the story.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- In Chapter 2, collect Zidane, Noctis and Onion Knight from the Dirnado Sanctums. Check these entries together when exploring the region so you can see which Sanctum rewards you still need.
- In Chapter 3, visit the Olderion Sanctums for Firion, Tidus and Squall. In Chapter 4, collect Shantotto, Cecil and Y'shtola from the Zoldaad Sanctums.
Complete the Side Quest Visions
Camille, Wilhelm, Aileen, Victoria, Amelia, Charlotte and Ayaka come from side quests. Use the exact quest titles in the table to choose the reward you want to pursue. Later quest rewards become available as their chapters unlock, so keep those names on your checklist as you advance.
- During Chapter 5, complete The Call from Beyond for Camille, O General! My General! for Wilhelm, Forger of Wills for Aileen and Victoria Revivified for Victoria.
- In Chapter 6, finish Errand's End for Amelia. In Chapter 7, complete The Shield of the Weak for Charlotte and The Admirable Apprentice for Ayaka.
Reach the Later Sanctums and Unlock Sephiroth
- Progress to the beginning of Chapter 5 to obtain the airship. This opens previously inaccessible Sanctums in Grandshelt and Mysidia, giving you a reason to revisit earlier territory.
- Return to Grandshelt for Clive's airship-accessible Sanctum. Visit the Mysidia Sanctums for Vaan, Bartz and Lightning, checking each name against your collection as you go.
Return for Missed Visions After the Story
No Vision is permanently missable. After the eight-chapter story, free-roam remains available for overlooked Sanctums, side quests and Sephiroth's encounter. You can leave a difficult optional unlock for later and return to finish your collection.
- Compare your collection with the table, then revisit the listed regions for any missing Sanctum Visions.
- Check the named side quests for missing quest rewards, including the later chapters' Visions.
- Return to Whirlpool Hollow for Sephiroth if you postponed his optional battle during the story.
